Bloody excelent. This is a great way to show your talent. The pics of Aimee are a great idea, only wish I thought of it. people will say you must be mad to have spent so much money on that chair, after sitting in it and getting relaxed, every person be they tall, small, ugly, beautiful or smelly, they will want that chair. I know I do. Well done the site is great, keep up the good work.

Hi Andy, thanks for the comments. I source most of the helmets from ebay and occasionally from dedicated aviation sites. I think you'll get a good deal on an sph-4.

Thanks, do you have any particular aviation sites you use? I have been looking on ebay for a while. I'm looking to make a replica of Col Kilgore's from 'Apocalypse Now' BTW I was on the Intrepid last month in NY and really enjoyed it.

Mick,
over the past few days i have grown the urge to make an ejector seat for my son. i stumbled over this site and you have restored my faith in stupid gestures. things like this become heirlooms and treasures long after we have gone. FANTASTIC WORK! my inspiration to go for it has shot throough the roof. no pun intended.

Beautiful collection just love the helmets, I am currently bidding on one, you pictures that you have taken all over are also spectacular, I was quite surprised to see you had a picture of an ATR 72 on your site, I work for the competition as a production test pilot on the Bombardier Q400

Hello Michael,

I am an third year aerospace student a Kingston University and I was just admiring the design of your ekranoplan. For my third year project I am designing a WIG craft and I would like to model and analyse your concept, would it be possible to get a technical drawing of it? Or any kind of dimensions/specifications that could help me would be greatly appreciated :)

Hi Shehan, I just designed it as a bit of fun. Search for and download 'google sketch up' {it's free} & search for 'zarrdoz'. You will find the 3d model there. Let me know how you get on.Happy new year!

Hello Michael ! Hope you read this soon. I happen to be a collector of flight helmets myself. You really do have a great quality collection - reason to be proud. (probably even more so of you sweet daughter...mine is a bit older and mother of my grand-daughter - so you see I'm a bit older than you...). I used to be director of the Dutch aviation museum and started collecting helmets after I retired.
Would like to get in touch in order to exchange knowledge on the subject. Pls do drop me a line on my email to nable me to write more extensively. By the way: I'm a great lover of Ireland (and its wonderful music).
Hope to hear from you,
Wim

Hi Michael,
I'm an American but have been over to Ireland on many occasions. Hope all is well.
Myself and a filmmaker friend are looking at shooting a music video for one of my songs and we're having trouble finding an important prop. Do you know where one might be able to find a Chinese Tk4 helmet for cheap? All of the listings on eBay are $500. The idea is to do it up to looking like a DIY space helmet.
Thanks!

Hi, yeah the Chinese helmets have become quite pricey. But I might have a good tip for you. I bought one years ago in Chinese size large. It hardly fits me! and I dont have a giant head :) Youll get a much better price on GSH-4 and GSH-6 helmets. The GSH-6 in particular lookm great when your holding them. Also lots of space in them.
